Abstract

The literature indicates that the integration of Knowledge Management (KM) and Business Process promotes and facilitates the achievement of organization’s goals and strategies, once process management activities provide the opportunity to prioritize some KM practices. This present study aims was to analyze the maturity level in Business Process Management (BPM) of a public organization from the perspective of KM. Therefore, we applied Ongena and Ravesteyn’s (2019) methodology to evaluate the relationship between BPM maturity and organizational performance of the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFC). Next, we used the model GCiBPM (Sena, 2015) to relate the evaluation results with the phases of KM. The analysis showed that the KM approach can contribute to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the IFC process potentializing the use of this resource and the processes strategic alignment to obtain better results.
