Abstract

Practices that seek to share knowledge are common in the organizational environment and can occur in public companies. The purpose of this article is to identify the level of understanding regarding activities that can be classified (or not) as Communities of Practice (CoPs), as well as the use of shared knowledge for reflective collaboration, based on the case study of a CoPs of a public company in Santa Catarina. As a research method, a qualitative approach was adopted, with an area of empirical science, where two questionnaires were prepared and applied to participants in the analyzed community. It was noticed that most of the participants did not have definite knowledge of CoPs formats, but intuitively associated them with knowledge sharing.
