Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify and analyze information access barriers according to the perception of interns in a public legal institution in Santa Catarina. The study employed a qualitative research design and collected data through interviews with six interns from the institution. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. The findings reveal the presence of seven barriers: organizational, organizational structure-related, efficiency-related, technological dependency, poor communication, absorption capacity, and lack of trust barriers. Identifying these information access barriers contributes to a better understanding of the challenges faced by interns and enables more effective management of this significant portion of the auxiliary workforce.
