Abstract

This research emerges in the context of the growing ubiquity of environments shaped by artificial intelligence and its influence on society. Therefore, it has as its themes the theory of Media Ecology and Artificial Intelligence. The study aims to describe, based on the literature, how artificial intelligence is approached in the field of knowledge of media ecology. To meet this objective, we carried out a bibliometric analysis and an integrative literature review. As a result, we describe how Artificial Intelligence is studied under the lens of media ecology theory through the approaches: media as environments; media as an extension of man; and the laws of media - McLuhan's Tetrad.
