Abstract

This study addresses the case of China, which demonstrates a leap from imitation to innovation evidencing exponential organizations. The innovation and the presence of innovative habitats, such as Science and Technology Parks, are part of its success because of the strong expansion of the chinese economy around the world. Thus, the objective of this study was to verify how China has treated the creation, maintenance and expansion of its science and technology parks. This research is a mixed, applied, descriptive, documental and bibliographic approach. In order to develop it, searches were carried out on databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCOT, Elsevier and Science Direct. The results of this study highlight the pursuit of China for a high-tech and innovation development with public policies and government actions geared towards the knowledge-based economy. In addition, the expansion of scientific publications and high tech parks from China has been exponential.
