Abstract

The fundamental factor for entrepreneurship is entrepreneurship itself. An individual who has behaviors that differentiate him from other professionals in the market. Thus, knowing what behaviors and attitudes define the entrepreneur is fundamental to understand how to identify, foster and value these behaviors and thus promote the culture and practice of entrepreneurship. Definitions of the entrepreneurial profile already exist, but this article questions how perceived these profiles are in practice. In this way, this article will take a look at what is defined as an entrepreneur's knowledge profile and its comparison with the perception of individuals who call themselves entrepreneurs, done through a questionnaire. What has shown that there is a misalignment between what is presented as an entrepreneurial profile and perceived as important to those if they consider themselves entrepreneurs.
