USE OF EXPERT CRITERIA IN SELECTION OF IDEAS IN THE IDEA MINING TASK

Idea mining aims to capture and distinguish an idea within a text. The ideal condition is that it can perform the task of an expert using all the criteria that are used in the selection of ideas. This paper demonstrates how Machine Learning techniques and selection criteria considered by experts can positively impact the mining of ideas during the identification of potential ideas. The results obtained through two classifiers presented a gain of accuracy in the classification of texts as ideas when incorporating selection criteria. In this way, it has been demonstrated through practical tests that the use of expert criteria in the selection of ideas improves the accuracy of the automatic methods of idea mining.
