Abstract

This paper aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the level of implementation of practices of Knowledge Management of organizational processes in municipalities of a region of Brazil and municipalities of a province of Ecuador. For this purpose, the data collection was done in brazilian and ecuadorian prefectures using a questionnaire prepared by the Institute of Applied Economic Research. The results reveal that the mayor's offices in Ecuador have, on average, a higher level of implementation of Knowledge Management practices associated with organizational processes. In the brazilian context, these practices present a low level of implementation and in ecuadorian reality they presented, on average, also a low level of implementation. This shows the need to create strategies by the municipalities of both countries to expand the level of implementation of these practices.
