Abstract

In the context of innovation processes the selection of new ideas is considered critical, as the result facilitate the success of innovation. The objective of this research is to analyze how the selection of ideas occurs in the context of the Front End of innovation. In this way, it is sought to identify the stages for the selection of ideas, as well as to conceptualize it through the current literature. An integrative literature review was conducted in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. As a result, six stages were identified for the selection of ideas, beginning with the definition of the scope until the validation of the choice, through the identification of actors, the organization of ideas and the criteria stage, which involves the identification of these, besides the attribution of weights and rules. Research contributes both to the theoretical and practical field by adds new knowledge about the structuring of the process.
