The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship of absorptive capacity (ACAP) and relational capital (CR). The method is a systematic review, following the steps of the PRISMA model. The research was carried out in the Ebsco, Scopus and Web of Science databases. 27 articles were identified, which were analyzed according to the eligibility, inclusion and exclusion criteria: time frame, empirical articles and which present the relationship between the themes, with 14 articles selected for content analysis. The results reveal that there is no clarity in the theoretical models and measures about the CR. Most of the articles do not present a direct relation of the themes, being possible to perceive that the ACAP is analyzed as a mediating and/or moderating variable of the relation between different themes. This study contributes to the expansion of research that addresses the relationship between ACAP and CR.
