Abstract

Knowledge Engineering (CE) offers several methodologies and tools that can be used in different organizational contexts. In the area of ​​education, these tools have the power to improve from teaching-learning activities to the institution's management. This article aims to carry out an integrative literature review to analyze how Knowledge Engineering tools have been applied in educational institutions. 39 publications were identified whose object of study helps to understand the phenomenon under study in this article. It was possible to classify these publications into seven macro topics based on the similarities between their methodological approaches. In addition, it was possible to identify several propositions for using CE tools in educational institutions. It was observed that complementary work can be carried out in order to deepen the benefits of CE tools in educational institutions.
