Abstract

The main objective of this article is to analyze the effectiveness of executive coaching (EC) for leadership development.In this sense, an integrative literature review was carried out in the Scopus, Web of Science and Scielo databases, considering aspects related to the development of leadership in the organizational sphere. The results found in this study showed that executive coaching has proven effectiveness for the development of leadership in organizations, considering that, among the main contributions listed of executive coaching for coachees (leaders), are: behavioral changes, improvement in skills inleadership, developing greater self-awareness, improving executive performance;improvements related to interpersonal relationships, communication, increased self-efficacy and resilience of coachees, among others.
