MULTIPLE NARRATIVES ENABLED BY THE USE OF ONBOARD CAMERAS

Abstract

Sports broadcasts are a television genre that not only has a loyal audience but also a unique language. The emergence of new technologies in the audiovisual field has brought different ways of following a sport. In motorsport, onboard cameras have provided viewers with different perspectives. With this in mind, this article aims to analyze the other narratives of a Formula 1 race using onboard cameras. The study suggests that following a Formula 1 race using these resources brings the viewer closer to the driver's sensations and allows for the creation of multiple narratives for a motorsport race. The article also suggests the possibility of creating an emotional bond between the audience and the driver from the same point of view.
