Abstract

The study analyzed the dynamics of turnover in an insurance brokerage team using the theory of Autopoietic Systems. To conduct the research, a qualitative approach was used, with semi-structured interviews being conducted; data analysis was conducted using the thematic analysis method, as proposed by Braun and Clarke. From the thematic analysis, three main themes were identified: training, leadership, and communication and relationships. The analysis revealed how the system seeks to self-organize to maintain its functions, manifesting itself in greater interaction between team members who help each other and in the departure of members who are unable to adapt. This process contributes to increased turnover within the team investigated.
