Abstract

This work aims to analyze, whether structural capital (EC) influences creativity in organizations that develop jewelry design. Structural capital is based on the internal structure, technologies and culture of the organization, while creativity is related to the stage of ideation of the product, essential for jewelry design. This multiple case study research was carried out through the qualitative approach. The research collected data for analysis with 15 companies that develop jewelry design in the South and Southeast of Brazil. The results of the research showed the strong influence of structural capital on the creative process of jewelry design. Considering that the environment evidence characteristics that express the personality and the way to work of the designers, it is possible to affirm that this environment, in some cases, may inhibit the expression of the professional
