Abstract

The present article aims to identify as a community of practice for an innovation in the creation of knowledge. The objective was to have a systematic and integrative basis in the Scopus database. As a result, there were 10 articles that relate the communities of practice (CoP) with knowledge creation process and their motive in the process of organizational innovation. It was possible to verify which CoPs are capable of creating knowledge, and that the latter is often transformed into innovative products and processes. However, it becomes a real quantification of the impact of the CoPs on an innovation, not having a homogeneity between communities, much less the different objectives of each.
