Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify, analyze and classify as a knowledge flow construct that is being addressed and used in the literature. The research took place between November 19 and 21, 2020. Twenty-two full studies were motivated, extracted from the Scopus databases and the Web of Science database, through the descriptors of knowledge flow, knowledge transfer and movement of knowledge. The analysis was carried out through a synthesis matrix, characterizing, mainly, the knowledge flow approach, and the application domain. As a result, it was found that (i) knowledge flow is necessary to: improve organizational processes, support senior organizational management and support organizational innovation; (ii) the flow of knowledge is used in companies and industries from different fields, and also in research institutes.
