Abstract

This study aims to map the current landscape of scientific production on agile and active methods, highlighting emerging trends, and exploring the application of these methodologies for organizational innovation and competitiveness. The research employed a bibliometric methodology, analyzing 8,059 articles from the Scopus, Web of Science, and APA PsycNet databases, using a mixed, descriptive, and exploratory approach. The results reveal an exponential growth in publications on agile methods since 2015, with China, the USA, and Japan as the leading contributors. Additionally, eight guidelines for the effective application of these methodologies were identified, including the identification of critical areas, the promotion of team autonomy, and the creation of continuous feedback and improvement cycles, all aimed at fostering innovation and competitiveness in organizations.
